Changing of the guard
It seemed like a perfectly nice day. “Let’s cancel school… yesterday… there’s a forecast after all”. A bold move.
But come noon and the beginning of a really heavy snow fall, that move paid off. Sure, you could say they could’ve had a half-day of school. “But we’re only thinking of the kids safety.”
Or maybe the kids who’d long for snow days grew up and became the school admins who now have the power and authority to call snow days.
And when the kids have off, the admins do, too. Well played.
